Shipping & Delivery Options
As a Food City customer, you have several shipping options available to you. The shipping table reflects only the speed of shipping, not including the time needed for our warehouses to fulfill your order.
Ground shipping will allow for your order to arrive at your home within 5-8 business days (or 7-10 calendar days). Next day shipping will allow for your order to arrive at your home within 2-3 business days of placing your order. Second day shipping will allow your order to arrive within 3-4 business days.
Some large and/or heavy items or products needing setup (ex. furniture, appliances) require special shipping methods that exclude them from our flat ground shipping rate of only $2.95 per item.
Such products incur a variable shipping surcharge. This charge will be indicated at checkout.
Special circumstances may require the delivery carrier to contact you to make arrangements for in-person delivery. Such a scenario may extend delivery time based on your availability and the carrier’s delivery schedule.

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico
Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico destinations have only one shipment method; Priority Air service is not available. Some products may be restricted from shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico destinations due to size, content or perishable qualities. See specific product information pages for shipping restrictions.
Please note: We cannot ship aerosol and alcohol-based products like cosmetics or fragrances to Alaska or Hawaii. These products are considered hazardous materials by the U.S. Department of Transportation and are required to be shipped by ground-only transport due to air transport restrictions and regulations.

How are shipping and delivery dates calculated?
You'll see an estimated shipping or delivery date for each shipment on the order form, just before you place your order. An estimated delivery date (or date range) will also appear in “Your Account” once you've placed your order.
Our estimated shipping dates are based on several factors, including the destination address, the shipping options you've chosen, and how quickly we can obtain and assemble items for shipment (the availability time listed on a product's detail page). Also, orders for multiple items or multiple copies of a single item can take longer to assemble before we're able to ship them to you.
We calculate delivery estimates by taking the estimated shipping date and adding the transit time (the time it takes a package to travel from our facilities to your destination address), based on the shipping speed you've chosen.
For example, if you order an item that is listed as "Usually ships in 2-3 days" and select standard U.S. shipping (which typically has a transit time of 3-5 business days), you can use the chart above to determine that your order should arrive 5-8 business days after you place it.
International customers: When orders shipped internationally reach the destination country, they may be subject to customs clearance procedures which can cause delays beyond original delivery estimates.
Getting Items Faster
You can select a different shipping speed by clicking the radio button next to that option on the order form. Note that changing your shipping speed to a faster method will not change the estimated shipping date, but your estimated delivery date should improve (subject to item availability). If you want to change your shipping speed after placing the order, visit “Your Account”.
Next Day and Two Day Shipping
For many products you will have an option to select Next Day or Two Day shipping. Products which have been selected for an expedited shipping option will be prioritized to be fulfilled within 1-2 business days from the date ordered and will arrive at your ship to address within 3-4 business days from the date your order was placed (depending on the expedited shipping option you selected).
Please note: not all of the items listed on our site are able to ship using an expedited shipping method. Products that are not able to ship with an expedited method will not have next day or two day shipping as an option. Also, if there is at least one item in your shopping cart which cannot ship expedited, will trigger the entire order to be excluded from expedited shipping service.
Order Has Missed the Estimated Delivery Date
Orders that are fulfilled and shipped by a trackable method (such as UPS) will have tracking information available in “Your Account”. Please check this information if available and read through the following options:
Food City shipping charges are calculated based on the items in your order. For Ground and APO/FPO, you will be charged $2.95 per item you are ordering. For Two-Day Air Service, you will be charged $12.00 per item. For Next-Day Air Service you will be charged $24.00 per item. And for Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico you will be charged $24.00 per item, and they are shipped via Two-Day Air Service.

Shipping promotions are on standard shipping rates only; additional surcharges will still apply. Note: We may need to divide your order into two or more shipments. You will receive separate shipping confirmation emails for each shipment we send you. However, this will not affect your shipping charges.
Orders and Returns
You can check on and track the progress of your order through the “My Account” section of the website. Log in to “your account” and then click the 'View Order History' link. This will show you a list of all orders that you have placed with Shop.Foodcity.com and their current status.
Released for shipment: Your order has been received, payment has been authorized and your order was sent to a supplier for processing.
Shipped: Your order (or a part of it) has been shipped.
Returned: Your order (or a part of it) has been returned.
Cancelled: Your order (or a part of it) has been cancelled. You are not charged for cancelled products.
Cancelling Items or Orders
In the event you want to cancel your order, please contact our customer service department as soon as possible at 855-267-0225. You may cancel an order if it has not been sent for processing (usually within 1 hour). If the items to be cancelled are not already in process we will cancel your item and your credit card will not be charged.
In the event your order is already in process or already shipped and cannot be cancelled you may refuse delivery of the package or contact our customer service team at 855-267-0225 to receive instructions to return the item.
We hope you are delighted with your purchase from Food City. However, if you would like to return any items or your purchase is unsuitable (*certain restrictions apply), we are happy to provide a refund assuming that the products being returned meet the return criteria specified for that product.
Most products sold on Food City online are able to be returned with a full refund within 45 days of receipt assuming the goods are still in their original packaging, in a fully resalable condition. Some exclusions and restrictions apply. Details are referenced below.
We are not accepting returns for online orders in our stores at this time.
Returns Procedure: Online Parcel Orders Only
In order to arrange a product return, you can follow the return instructions on your packing slip or you can contact our customer service at 855-267-0225.
Your packing slip should be used to note goods being returned and reason for return. Goods must be returned to the address included with your packing slip. We recommend using a registered postal service and retaining the proof of postage as we may require signed proof of delivery.
Returns Procedure: Online Non-Parcel or Special Delivery products
For returns of products which require special shipping arrangements such as oversized items please call 855-267-0225. Our customer service team will arrange for pickup of the items requiring special shipping. Please note there will be a return fee for Special Delivery products.
Restrictions and Exceptions
Special Delivery products should be inspected upon receipt. In the unlikely event your order arrives damaged, missing parts or is not operating appropriately, please note the claim with the delivery driver and contact our customer service team at 855-267-0225 immediately.
All goods returned must be in a perfect and salable condition with original product packaging and instructions where appropriate. If the goods do not reach us in a perfect and saleable condition, and in their original packaging, then your right to a full refund may be affected.
You can normally expect to receive your refund within 5-10 business days after the package has been received. We will notify you via email of your refund once we've processed the return item. Credit will be applied to your original form of payment.
Please note if we find that the product has not been returned to us in a fully resalable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or to deduct a portion of refund.
